Project Update
Road Construction near Cardiff
Beach
Cardiff-by-the-Sea, November 22, 2017:
The San Elijo Joint Powers Authority and its contractors continued to make installation on the Land Outfall Replacement Project steel casing underneath Coast Highway 101. This casing will house the High Density
Polyethylene (HDPE) replacement pipe and provide structural integrity. No unusual
noise was created by this work, and there were no traffic delays in the affected
area. There will be no construction from
Thursday November 23rd 2017 – Sunday November 26th
2017 for the holiday.
On Monday
November 27th, the contractor will recommence work, which involves
demobilizing the equipment that was used to install the 60” steel casing, and
staging the equipment used to install and secure the Land Outfall pipe
underneath Coast Highway 101.
The San Elijo Joint Powers Authority is a local wastewater and recycled water agency serving the communities of Cardiff, Olivenhain, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and Rancho Santa Fe. This project will safeguard public health, protect the local environment, and preserve public recreation opportunities along the beaches of Encinitas, Cardiff, and Solana Beach. Thank you for your patience while we work to protect our community and coastline.
